April 1st – April 8th

A$SP Rocky has been steady playing with our emotions, and really showing us the true meaning of patience when it comes to his yet to be released 2018 music project. Last week Rocky announced to social media that he would be performing new music on Jimmy Fallon’s Late night show that night. Rocky preformed a medley of new songs “A$AP Forever” and “Distorted Records”, all while clad in a custom ‘Flacko’ crash test dummy suit.

“A$AP Forever”, accompanied by a companion video, has been released and is available to stream. The track “Distorted Records”, which premiered during the second half of his medley has not yet been released yet.

Drake also released a new single accompanied by a music video last week. This new single ‘Nice For What’ samples Lauryn Hill’s 1998 hit ‘Ex-Factor’. Cardi B. also sampled this track on ‘Be Careful’ from her newest album “Invasion Of Privacy”.

The ‘Nice For What’ music video was directed by Karen Evans, and featured a cast of all star women. The full list of women featured is listed in the credits of the music video. Drake is doing one for the ladies, and as Issa Rae says we love a good #SensativeBae.

This Saturday, Cardi B graced our televisions by performing as musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Her first performance consisted of a ‘Bodak Yellow’/’Bartier Cardi’ medley, in which she dominated the stage in a black and white latex dress with a feathered bottom.

But it wasn’t even this latex, feathered dress that got everyone talking. Cardi B took the stage in her second performance to sing a soulful rendition of ‘Be Careful’ in a tight, semi-sheer, white rushed gown, emphasizing her newest and most cherished accessory, her baby bump! That’s right, the rumors are true, we can all die happy now, Cardi B is pregnant!

Cardi’s project features many of our favorites, like SZA, J. Balvin, YG, and Migos, and has already been praised by many prominent celebrities, such as Oprah, Erykah Badu, and TDE’s president, Punch.
